| John
completed initial training in Fine Art
before studying photography at the University
of Huddersfield. In his final year,
John won the coveted Association of
Photographers/Kodak Student Award 2002
for his imaginative interpretation of
a government advertising brief to support
plans to ban toy guns. Judged by well-known
photographer Desmond Burdon and McCann-Erikson
Art Director Mark Hurst, his award work
featured on the British Design and
Art Direction and Getty Images
web sites, and went on display at the
Association of Photographers Gallery
in London.
Since then, John has built up a varied
and expressive photographic portfolio
via his experience of working directly
with Public Relations and Advertising
agencies. His clients have represented
a range of business sectors and his
subject matter has included location
work, lifestyle, fashion, portraiture
and public relations briefs.
Time spent at photographers’
studios in the north of England has
also given John substantial technical
experience of working in the digital
arena and he combines this with his
own unique, creative style to produce
consistently strong and effective
imagery for use in any context. |
